FABRIC
Cotton is a very debated material in terms of garment production. Even though it is the most used raw material in the world and it is a natural fiber with many positive characteristics, it is often grown with strong pesticides and it demands enormous amounts of water to grow, far more than other natural fibers. Sustainable ways of growing cotton like organic cotton, recycled cotton or BCI cotton are getting more and more common and demanded. At ELJO THE LABEL we only use these sustainable cotton options. 

CARE
Most cotton garments can be washed in higher temperatures (40-60 degrees), however, we recommend washing as cold and gentle as possible and to always follow the care instructions for each garment. Cotton has a durable fiber that can be washed, ironed, and used for years..

Do not let cotton dry in direct sunlight, as it is sensitive to discoloration by the sun. Please check the care label before tumbling dry. In case you tumble dry your cotton item we recommend putting the item inside out and avoid setting the temperature too high.

Iron on high heat while the fabric is slightly damp. Note that ironing can usually be avoided by air drying or removing immediately from the machine.
